Review of multi-objective optimization methods and applications in building performance simulation

Combining building performance simulation and multi-objective optimization is the innovative direction of building sustainable development.The relevant researches on building multi-objective optimization published on Web of Science core dataset and CNKI are systematically reviewed,and the research hotspots and development trends are analysed by using bibliographical software CiteSpace.The latest progress,limitations and potential development of multi-objective optimization methods are discussed,with emphasis on the functions,applications and development of existing simulation tools and optimization engines.The results show that how to effectively combine optimization tools and simulation programs is the main challenge of multi-objective optimization.The parametric platform can integrate modeling,simulation,optimization and other processes,and has been widely used in the research of multi-objective optimization.The performance optimization of indoor thermal environment,daylighting environment and energy consumption is the focus of current research,and the optimization of indoor and outdoor wind environment,sound environment and the renewable energy application are worthy of attention in future research.
